Who Are You Talking To?
|
Who are you talking to when you
advertise? Our advertising
usually sounds good to us but
leaves our potential customers
wanting more. Ads often sound
like a laundry list of services
or features. Potential customers
expect advertisements to focus
on solutions for their problems.
Do you want to know about
the quality of the table your
Chiropractor uses, or would you
rather hear about the relief he
can offer you? Pointing out the
Chiropractor's experience and
the number of satisfied
customers makes sense, but
remember, the goal is to draw
them in.
Self-congratulatory information
sounds good, but is it
compelling? Do you care if he
graduated at the top of his
class, or would you rather know
how he will relieve your pain?
Would you rather know about his
fancy office or how quickly he
can get you back on your feet?
Offering a customer value is
about solving their problems.
It is easy to forget
that our audience does not
necessarily care about the same
things we do as business owners.
They want to know how we can
help them, not how much we
invested, planned, or worked on
our product line.
Think
of advertising like gravity. If
your customer is outside your
atmosphere (never visited your
store or website), they may
continue to rotate around you if
your ad is not appealing. If
your ad does not reach them, you
have little chance of converting
them to a buying customer. If
your ad can pull them inside
your atmosphere, you may be able
to attract a sale.
Allow
your client's problems to
inspire your advertising. Create
a list of obstacles your
potential customers deal with,
then define how your products
and services can solve these
problems. Implement these
solutions into your advertising
to attract new customers.

Just For Grins
|
- My entire life can be
summed up in one sentence....."Well that did not go
as planned."
- I never run with
scissors. Those last two words were completely
unnecessary.
- When I get old I am
going to strategically place bags of snacks on the
floor...in case I fall and can't get up.
- Not to get
technical...but according to chemistry, alcohol is
a solution.
- I ran out of coffee
this morning. Tequila seemed like a reasonable
replacement. Everyone is so pretty today.
- Marriage is like a
deck of cards. In the beginning all you need is two
hearts and a diamond. By the end, you wish you had
a club and a spade.
- If you answer the
phone with "Hello, you're on the air!" Most
telemarketers will quickly hang up....
- If you had to choose
between eating tacos everyday or being skinny for
the rest of your life - would you choose hard or
soft shell tacos?
- LSD makes users lose
weight. That makes sense, It's kind of hard to get
in to the fridge when there's a dragon guarding
it.
- I want to lose weight
but I don't want to get caught up in one of those
"eat right and exercise" scams.
- Some people say their
body is a temple...Mine is a bouncy castle.
