We often reference open-source
software in this newsletter. You
may be wondering just what is
open-source software.
Computer programs that make
their source code available to
the public to use and modify are
called open source. The ability
to access, modify, and
distribute the code often leads
to collaboration and innovation.
Most, but not all, Open-source
software is free and can be
customized to meet the user's
preferences. Prominent
open-source software includes
Libre Office, the Mozilla
Firefox browser, and VLC Media
Player.
There are several
advantages to using open-source
software, including:

People can save a considerable
amount of money versus
proprietary software.

|
- Exercise gives you
energy but you need energy to exercise....Sounds
like a pyramid scheme to me.
- I don't mind coming
to work, but waiting 8 hours to go home is
ridiculous.
