Turn Negatives into Positives
|
We have all had an unsatisfied
customer for one reason or
another. Often, this is due to
no fault of our own. Perhaps a
supplier let you down, or a
manufacturer changed its quality
without letting you know.
Regardless of the situation, we
must turn these problems to our
advantage.
We can
accomplish this with a desire to
provide service above and beyond
expectations. Everyone makes
mistakes, and your customers
don't expect you to be perfect.
They do, however, expect you to
stand behind what you sell.
Do not view Customer
complaints negatively. Instead,
consider the complaint as an
opportunity to win them over.
Look at it as a chance to
display your professionalism,
execute at the highest level,
and perform to the best of your
ability. Do not be afraid to
show off a little. Not
negatively or obnoxiously, but
show off by flexing your
customer service muscles.
The customer has offered you
an opportunity to demonstrate
that you will come through for
them. Shock them! Offer them
service beyond what they expect,
establish yourself as a problem
solver, and your customer will
be grateful for the effort and
often become an even more loyal
purchaser.
It isn't
always possible to salvage a
customer relationship. When a
relationship is beyond saving,
do your best not to aggravate
the situation. Return the
customer's money if possible.
Refer the customer to another
provider. Do what you can to
make the customer's transition
from you as painless as
possible. While separation is
never ideal, it is better than
continuing down a path that
makes no sense for you or your
customer.
Make sure your
customer knows how important
they are to you. Quality
customer service will help
eliminate negative feelings and
promote your brand reputation.

Just For Grins
|
- This "killing them
with kindness" thing is taking way to long.
- Someone called me
crazy the other day...I almost got down off my
Unicorn and slapped them.
- I love the look on
the hardware store guys face when I ask if he
thinks the ceiling fans will hold my weight.
- As I walk through the
valley of the Shadow of Death, I remind myself that
you can't always trust Google Maps.
- Let's all take a
moment to be thankful that I don't own a taser.
- Keep your marriage
fresh by writing each other love notes like "I
considered smothering you with a pillow last night
but didn't."
- Some people are as
useless as the g in lasagna.
- Do people still run
away with the circus? Asking for a friend.
- It is a scientific
fact. The universe is made up of protons, neutrons,
electrons, and morons.
- I have a recurring
dream One of my kids unplugs my life support so
they can charge their phone.
